Portfolio Description

Abay Engineering and Tech Solutions supplies computers, printers, scanners, networking equipment and security camera systems to businesses, retailers, distributors, government institutions and schools across Ethiopia.

They needed a straightforward, credible website: what they supply, who they supply it to, and how to reach them. Not a storefront, not a catalogue with a cart - a supplier's site that makes a procurement officer confident enough to send an enquiry.

What we built

A deliberately simple brochure site, built to be fast and to be maintained without a developer standing by.

  • Clear product category pages covering computers and laptops, printers and scanners, networking equipment, security and surveillance systems, and IT accessories.
  • An about page that establishes who the company sells to - corporate, government, education and distribution - which is the question a procurement buyer is actually asking.
  • Enquiry routing straight to the sales address, with the phone numbers prominent, because most of this business still starts with a call.
  • Fast on Ethiopian mobile connections: modern responsive image formats, minimal JavaScript, and no page builder bloat.
  • Search-engine fundamentals done properly - real page titles and descriptions, structured data for the business and its location, and a sitemap - so the company is findable for the equipment it actually sells.

Challenge and solution

  • A supplier with a broad catalogue does not need every SKU online. The site is organised by category and capability rather than by product listing, so it stays accurate without constant maintenance.
  • Buyers here are split between corporate procurement and walk-in retail, so the contact routes are explicit rather than funnelling everyone through one form.
